Telkomsat Becomes a Speaker in a Guest Lecture held by PENS
Surabaya - As part of CSR activities in 2019, Telkomsat participated as a guest speaker at a guest lecture program organized by the Telecommunications Engineering study program at the Politeknik Negeri Elektronika Surabaya (PENS) on April 26, 2019. The guest lecture was themed "Technology Development and Satellite Business", And was also attended by lecturers and students majoring in Telecommunication Engineering.
Starting at 8:00 a.m., the activity opened with a speech from I Gede Puja Astawa from the Electrical Department. Moderated by Galih Priambodo, this guest lecture also presented Hari Usmayadi, M.Kom., As VP Commerce Telkomsat. In that moment, he delivered material about Satellite Mobile Services (MSS) to the Ship Management System Mobile Application which was attended by students. In addition, VP of Strategic Business Development Telkomsat namely Anggoro K. Widiawan also provided material will help students involved in satellite communication in the telecommunications world.
"Satellite communication is basic communication, so it is very important for students to understand what satellites are, their uses, to the differences with other communication methods. Understanding will give the most important difference before students graduate from PENS," Said Anggoro. The students who were present seemed enthusiastic during the question and answer session, "I was very impressed, maybe because this was something new the students were very enthusiastic." Said Anggoro.
With this guest lecture, it is expected to be able to add insight to students regarding the development of satellite communication and its application in the business world in Indonesia.
