Merah Putih Satellite was successfully launched on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States.

This satellite is Telkomsat's offering to the Indonesian people to deliver broadband communication services, carrying 60 active transponders consisting of 24 C-Band transponders and 12 C-Band Extended transponders which will also serve the Southeast Asia region, and reach South Asia. This makes a Merah Putih Satellite a telecommunications satellite that has the largest capacity and wider range.
