Commemorating Hari Bhakti Postel, Telkomsat Shares Satellite Knowledge with SMK IDN Solo Students
Bogor, September 25, 2023 – In celebration of the 78th Hari Bhakti Postel, Telkomsat welcomed a visit from students of the SMK Islamic Development Network (IDN) Solo at the Meeting Room of the Telkomsat Office in Bogor. The visit was received by IT Service & Infrastructure Manager of Telkomsat, Gusfrian Imbar, who then introduced the students to the history of satellites in Indonesia.
The students appeared serious and enthusiastic during the presentation, taking advantage of the opportunity to ask various questions and satisfy their curiosity. In addition to the material about the history of satellites, Jaya Wahyudin, who is responsible for Telkomsat’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), also provided material on the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) in the company.
The teacher from SMK IDN Solo, Alaqsha Gilang Imantara, hopes this visit can be an important reference for the students to learn more about Telkomsat, satellite technology, and the important role of this company in connecting people across Indonesia.
Additionally, the students were given the opportunity to visit several Telkomsat facilities, such as the Low Orbit Satellite (LEO) Antenna, NOC Room, Data Center, and Antenna Farm located in the office's backyard.
This activity is part of Telkomsat’s CSR program, aimed at increasing students' insight and knowledge about satellite technology, the Telkomsat brand, and the telecommunications services that the company runs from upstream to downstream. It is also hoped to inspire the students to achieve higher accomplishments in the future.
