Bogor, October 27, 2021 - Telkomsat was also a speaker at the Education and Training event with the theme "Improvement of Industry-Based Managerial Capabilities in 2021". This event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), Partnership and Alignment of Business and Industry (Dit Matras DUDI), the Directorate General of Vocational Education (Ditjen Diksi), in collaboration with several universities, one of which is Bogor Agricultural University (IPB).

In the event held at the IPB International Convention Center Bogor, CFO of Telkomsat, Rizal Ahmad Fauzi, explained the introduction of Telkomsat's business and provided strategic management insights and tools that a CEO/Principal needed. In the presentation session of this material, he also hopes that the training participants must be ready to the "VUCA" era, namely volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. VUCA is a phenomenon that describes a world situation that is changing very rapidly and is unpredictable.

“In digital transformation, principals need expertise to have an agile attitude in preparing students who are able to compete in this era full of challenges and uncertainty. Principals and teachers are required to be able to think critically and stay focused (mentally), able to work together (people), accustomed to change (change), achieve & inspire (results), and self-awareness." Rizal said.

After listening to the explanation from the CFO of Telkomsat, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Satellite Master Control Station located on Jl. Raya Narogong KM 26.5 Kembang Kuning, Klapanunggal, Bogor. During this visit, the participants were guided directly by the CTO of Telkomsat, Anggoro Kurnianto Widiawan, to tour and listen to an explanation about the Satellite Master Control Station.

In his explanation, he said that since the 1970s the need for satellite telecommunications has been a very strategic need for the Indonesian people. This is because Indonesia is an archipelagic country and is located in the Ring of Fire area  to natural disasters. Therefore, with the satellite, the area affected by the natural disaster can quickly recover its telecommunications network.

In addition, Anggoro explained the long history of satellite development, starting from the Palapa Satellite to the Merah Putih Satellite. At the end of this session, he introduced the Mangoesky internet service as a pioneer of internet services that play a role in leveling and advancing education in Indonesia.

"In the education sector, Mangoesky supports the success of teaching and exams in remote rural areas. Internet access allows students to get information from a variety of sources. This makes students have creativity and innovation to develop the knowledge obtained because many get alternatives to learning and discussion. Mangoesky takes a role in the nation's journey to score a reliable next generation," said Anggoro.

With this contribution, Telkomsat hopes to help improve the leadership abilities of the leaders of vocational and vocational education institutions so that they are able to respond to the dynamic development of the business world and the industrial world in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.
