Telkomsat Contributes to Control of Karhutla in East Kalimantan Province

Balikpapan - As the prevention of forest and land fires (Karhutla) in the province of East Kalimantan (Kaltim), Telkomsat with the PT Telkom Indonesia contributed in providing a Karhutla control analysis system application called "Asap Digital", in collaboration with the National Police.

The launch of the Asap Digital in the city of Balikpapan is marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Telkom Indonesia and Gabungan Perusahaan Kelapa Sawit (GAPKI) Kalimantan Timur, Asosiasi Pengusaha Hutan Indonesia Komisariat Daerah Kalimantan Timur (APHI Komda Kaltim) and the Kalimantan Regional Police.

The signing of the MoU was witnessed by Director of Enterprise & Business Service Telkom, Edi Witjara and the Head of the East Kalimantan Police, Inspector General. Pol Herry Rudolf Nahak in Balikpapan (27/4). 

In his remarks Director of Enterprise & Business Service Telkom, Edi Witjara said, this Asap Digital is Telkom's support in supporting the government's efforts to prevent and minimize forest and land fires that are detrimental to society, through optimization of ICT.

In addition, this application is a form of supervision from the National Police Headquarters in checking the readiness of the National ASAP Digital in the Kalimantan region and 9 other priority Polda.

Asap Digital is an application that contains various kinds of up-to-date information, such as CCTV monitoring, connectivity, as well as monitoring applications and dashboards, which function to monitor the occurrence of fires and detect hotspots that cause fires.

Through this application, Telkomsat is always in providing the best for the country through various innovations and services presented.
