Telkomsat Receives Visit from Kominfo Regarding Supervision of Satellite Telecommunication Services

Bogor - Telkomsat, a subsidiary of TelkomGroup, received a visit from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia (Kominfo) to conduct a survey of satellite telecommunication services. The activity, held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Satellite Master Control Station Telkomsat JL. Raya Narogong km. 26.5, Cileungsi, Kembang Kuning, Klapanunggal District, Bogor Regency, was carried out as part of supervision and control of satellite telecommunication services managed by Telkomsat.

During the survey, officials from Kominfo inspected the facilities and systems at the Telkomsat Satellite Control Center, and were attended by Andi Faisa Ahmad as the Head of the SFR & APT Monev Team, as well as representatives from the Directorate of SDPPI Control, the Directorate of SDPPI Operations, the Directorate of SDPPI Arrangement, the Jakarta Monitoring Center, and the Banten Monitoring Center. On this occasion, Telkomsat demonstrated its commitment to continue improving the quality and security of its satellite telecommunication services.

In addition to conducting a survey at the Satellite Master Control Station, the delegation continued their visit to the Satellite Transmission Control Station located in Bogor. They had the opportunity to visit the Control Room, NOC Monitoring Room, and the VSAT Antenna and HTS HUB locations.

During the visit, the Telkomsat team provided information on how to manage control stations and supervise satellite telecommunication services in order to achieve improved quality and reliability of infrastructure to support Telkom Group's 3 Digital Business Domains.

Telkomsat appreciates the support and supervision provided by Kominfo to ensure that satellite telecommunication services in Indonesia can operate safely and reliably. With this survey activity, it is hoped that Telkomsat and Kominfo can work together to develop a better national satellite telecommunication infrastructure, which can provide greater benefits to the people of Indonesia and the satellite industry in the country in particular.
