Jakarta - At the Main and Marketing Office of Telkomsat, Telkomsat signed two cooperation agreements for the utilization of the Merah Putih 2 Satellite transponders with two different telecommunications companies, namely PT Indo Pratama Teleglobal (IPT) and PT Asia Akses Utama (AAU). The signing ceremony took place on Friday, April 26, 2024, at different times.

The contract signing was attended by the CEO of Telkomsat - Lukman Hakim Abd Rauf, CMO of Telkomsat - Andri Yunianto, as well as Directors and Senior Leaders from each of the companies.

In his speech, the CEO of Telkomsat, Lukman Hakim Abd Rauf, mentioned that the Merah Putih 2 Satellite is the most reliable High Throughput Satellite (HTS) currently available because it uses a combination of C-band and Ku-band, which is very suitable for climates with high rainfall and covers the entire territory of Indonesia.

Furthermore, he added that Telkomsat is very ready to collaborate with IPT and AAU in providing high-quality satellite services. "We are committed to working intensively together to ensure the provision of effective and efficient services, supporting our customers (IPT and AAU) in meeting their communication needs across Indonesia," Lukman stated.

As we know, the Merah Putih 2 Satellite is located in the 113 East Longitude orbital slot, positioned directly above the Kalimantan, making it ideal for distributing telecommunications services throughout Indonesia reliably and with high quality. The satellite also has a large capacity of up to 32 Gbps and is equipped with active C-band and Ku-band transponders.

This cooperation is expected to create mutually beneficial synergy and expand telecommunications access in Indonesia, as well as support sustainable economic growth. Through this collaboration, Telkomsat, IPT, and AAU hope to maximize the use of advanced satellite technology to enhance connectivity and availability of communication services in remote areas of Indonesia.
