Telkomsat Synergy Launches DIGITAL ASAP to Prevent Forest & Land Fires in Indonesia
Jakarta - In the president's instructions in handling and controlling forest and land fires, Telkomsat in synergy with PT Telkom Indonesia officially launched an application called ASAP Digital Nasional. This information technology-based digital application is expected to be effective in preventing the occurrence or spread of forest fires throughout Indonesia.
The launch of this application was carried out at the Headquarters of the Police of the Republic of Indonesia (MABES POLRI) and Head of BNPB Lt. Gen. Ganip Warsito, S.E., M.M, Minister of Agriculture represented by Director General of Plantation Ir. Ali Jamil, MP., Ph.D, Minister of STATE-OWNED Erick Thohir, Tni Marshal Commander Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Environment, Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya, M.Sc, Minister of Home Affairs General of Police (Purn.) Prof. Drs. H. Muhammad Tito Karnavian, M.A., Ph.D, Head of the Hartono Peat Restoration Agency, and Director of Telkom Indonesia, Ririek Adriansyah, Wednesday (15/09).
In his remarks, the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya, M.Sc. expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the National Police Chief for the initiative and support in the transformation of forest and land fire prevention through the ASAP Digital Application,
"ASAP Digital is very important in accelerating the response to forest and land fires. Especially the enforcement of forest and land fire law, in accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 3 of 2020 on Forest and Land Fire Management. We certainly hope that this application can be used together and accessed by all parties, all stakeholders in the control of forest fires nationally." said Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya, M.Sc.
The same thing was expressed by telkom Indonesia Director, Ririek Adriansyah, "Thank you to Mr. Kapolri who has initiated the transformation of forest and land fire management by using the Control Analysis System Application or known as ASAP Digital Nasional, so that PT Telkom can contribute to protecting Indonesia's territory from forest fires."
On another occasion, CEO of Telkomsat Endi Fitri Herlianto, and CMO of Telkomsat Puguh Indaryono, said the ASAP Digital application is the contribution of Telkom and Telkomsat to prevent forest and land fires in Indonesia. Satellite technology became the first data processed to detect the position of forest and land fires.
In addition, VP ENS Segment of Telkomsat , Fitra Akmal, said that previously all the data to create the ASAP Digital dashboard already existed, but in each institution or agency. This ASAP Digital successfully combines all of these information in one effective and efficient container to prevent forest and land fires.
In addition, information from SAM ENS of Telkomsat, Muhammad Zamroni, currently has been installed 28 CCTV points spread across 10 priority police handling forest and land fires.
In its operation, CCTV on ASAP Digital is monitored for a full 24 hours through a command center or command center. In addition, ASAP Digital has been integrated with applications that contain the presence of nearby personnel who are on duty in the field.
With an integrated system, the potential for fire or hot spots will be immediately visible to officers in the command center (with satellite photos), which are then checked visually with CCTV installed, so that officers at the control center can directly contact the nearest personnel and immediately perform blackouts. Personnel who are ready to be on site to prevent forest fires from various agencies, such as from police units, tni, regional disaster management agency (BPBD), volunteers to maggala agni troops.
Through Telkomsat's contribution to ASAP Digital, it is expected to have a positive impact in tackling forest fires in Indonesia.
